Use corrosion-resistant materials: Choose stainless steel

1.  Material Selection

Use corrosion-resistant materials :Select stainless steel or aluminum alloy materials for the shelves. These materials have good corrosion resistance and are suitable for humid environments.

Galvanized steel :If using steel, it is recommended to choose hot-dip galvanized steel. The hot-dip galvanizing process can form a layer of zinc on the surface of the steel, effectively isolating air and moisture, and preventing rust.

2.  Surface Treatment

Coating Protection

Rust-proof paint spraying :Spray rust-proof paint or anti-corrosion coating on the surface of the shelves to form a protective film, preventing the metal from contacting air and moisture.

Electrostatic spraying :Use electrostatic adsorption to evenly spray powder coating on the surface of the shelves, then bake at high temperature to solidify, forming a hard anti-corrosion layer.

Epoxy resin coating :Epoxy resin coating has good moisture-proof and anti-corrosion properties, suitable for humid environments.

Passivation treatment :For stainless steel shelves, passivation treatment can form a dense passivation film, further improving corrosion resistance.

3.  Environmental Control

Keep dry :Avoid exposing the shelves to humid environments as much as possible. If they must be used in a humid environment, the surface of the shelves should be wiped with a dry cloth regularly to remove moisture.

Ventilation and dehumidification

Install ventilation equipment, such as fans or exhaust fans, to increase air circulation.

Use a dehumidifier or desiccant to reduce environmental humidity.

Avoid direct contact with the ground :Place moisture-proof pads or plastic film at the bottom of the shelves to prevent moisture from rising from the ground.

4.  Daily Maintenance

Regular cleaning :Regularly clean the surface of the shelves to remove dust and dirt, and prevent the accumulation of corrosive substances.

Inspection and repair :Regularly check the surface coating of the shelves for peeling or damage, and repair them in time to prevent rust.

Avoid chemical corrosion :If the shelves may come into contact with corrosive chemicals, choose a corrosion-resistant coating and avoid direct contact as much as possible.

5.  Special Environment Response

Coastal areas :In coastal areas, the salt content in the air is higher. It is recommended to use 316 stainless steel or hot-dip galvanized steel and strengthen daily maintenance.

Basements or underground warehouses :Basements usually have higher humidity. It is recommended to install dehumidification equipment and exhaust systems, and optimize the ventilation design of the shelves
